U.K. calling: Birmingham experience

My week started with a touch of "British" style: I've been with Stamperia at CHSI - Stitches (19th - 21st February 2017 - Birmingham), international exhibition dedicated to creative hobbies. 

A lot of colours, fresh styles, many different designs: from naif illustrations to the most completed forms of Mixed Media Art. Brilliant colours both in textile (fabric, ribbons, laces) than in papers and products.

Questa settimana è iniziata all'insegna dello stile British: con Stamperia ho preso parte al CHSI - Stitches (19 - 21 Febbraio 2017 - Birmingham), esposizione internazionale dedicata agli hobby creativi. 

Una cornice inglese ricca di colore, linee pulite, design che andavano dai motivi delle illustrazioni naif al Mixed Media nella sua più compiuta espressione. Colori vivaci, luminosi, impiegati tanto in ambito tessile (stoffe, nastri, pizzi, accessori handmade), quanto nelle carte e nei prodotti.

Stamperia (stand 12E29), with its waste range of papers and products, has captivate the visitors, meeting different tastes.

Special guest, the wonderful Becky Seddon, very talented english crafter and head designer of "The Craft Channel". She has worked with the papers of Stamperia Scrapbooking Blocks.

Special guest, la bravissima Becky Seddon, crafter inglese di grande talento e designer di punta di "The Craft Channel", che ha lavorato con le carte dei blocchi scrap Stamperia.

Creative recycling

La tanto attesa Primavera è finalmente arrivata. E, con essa, il temuto cambio degli armadi. Cosa tenere, cosa gettar via, come giustificare una sana sessione di shopping? Io quest'anno non getto via nulla: colori per stoffa, glitter, fiori, qualche strass per dare nuova vita ad indumenti ed accessori. Non c'è limite a ciò che possiamo realizzare, l'ispirazione può nascere dalla natura, da un interesse,  un'esigenza personale... o magari da un artista, un mito alla Jackson Pollock...

Spring is finally come. Like every year, it's time to put order in our wardrobe: what to preserve, what else to throw away... how justify a good shopping session. This year I don't want to throw away anything. With fabric colors, glitter, flowers and some strass we can give a new life to our clothes and accessories. We can find inspiration in our personal hobbies, into nature, even in art, when we think at miths as Jackson Pollock...

Le Printemps est finalement arrivé. Et, inexorable, le changement de garde robe. Qu’est-ce-que vaut la peine de conserver, quoi jeter sans pitié, comment justifier une balade dans les magasins? J’ai décidé, cette année je ne jette rien : couleurs pour les tissus, glitter autocollant, fleurs en soie, en feutrine, en mousse, quelques boutons, des perles et de strass vont m’aider à donner nouvelle vie aux accessoires et à l’habillement.

Il n’y a aucun limite à ce que nous pouvons créer, l’idée peut sortir de la nature, d’un soudain intérêt pour une activité de sport, un salon d’artistes, une vague nouvelle qui est dans l’air du printemps…
